"A New Heaven and a New Earth (Rev 21:1): what Christianity equips us with for the ecological crisis"

At this year's Evangelical Ministers’ Conference, we will listen to the disturbing voices of the ecological crisis that is sweeping the world. We want to look around carefully to see where ideas are emerging about how to act in this crisis, what needs to be abandoned, and what we will need to re-syllabicise. Together we will reflect on the Johannine vision of a new heaven and a new world and, more broadly, on the legacy of Christian eschatology.

We are opening the conference to a larger number of international participants and speakers. We would be very happy to have brothers and sisters from your church as our guests.
There will be also an online access option (stream), but we warmly invite you to participate in person. Translation (into English and German) will be available for present participants, and we will be happy to help you arrange the accommodation in families.
The conference takes place in the city centre of Prague (Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University, St. Martin's Church in Zdi). Important information about the accommodation read here.

Während des nächsten Pfarrerskurses wollen wir den beunruhigenden Stimmen zuhören, die auf die ökologische Krise hinweisen. Wir wollen uns aufmerksam nach den Ideen umsehen, wie wir in dieser Krise handeln können: was wir aufgeben und was wir neu formulieren können. Wir wollen gemeinsam darüber nachdenken, was in dieser Krise die Vision des Johannes vom neuen Himmel und neuer Erde und weiter die Tradition der christlichen Eschatologie bedeutet.

Wir möchten die Beteiligung von ausländischen Teilnehmer*innen und Referenten*innen erweitern. Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn wir Brüder und Schwestern auch aus Ihrer Kirche zu Gast hätten.
Wir bereiten auch eine Online-Variante vor, trotzdem laden wir Sie herzlich zur persönlichen Teilnahme vor Ort. Für die Präsenzteilnehmer wird gedolmetscht (ins Englisch, auch teilweise ins Deutsch). Wir werden Ihnen gerne bei der Vermittlung von Unterkünften behilflich sein.
Der Kurs findet im Zentrum von Prag statt (Pädagogische Fakultät der Karls-Universität, St. Martinskirche in der Mauer). Informationen über die Unterkunft lesen Sie hier.
